Sustainability is at the core of who we are and how we act.
Our sustainability approach spans over 3 main areas: social-, ecological- and economical sustainability. We’re proud of our eco-friendly practices, social and economic goals and are committed to raising awareness for a greener future.
We have been awarded the “Green Sign Hotel” Certificate and are a leading Hotel with Swisstainable.
These achievements are not just thanks to the energy-efficient building with well-insulated windows, our eco-friendly ventilation system and solar panels for warm water production, but also thanks to the engagement of our staff.
We actively recycle, re-use and reduce where we can. Our garden and pond offer a natural and safe habitat for insects and birds, without bothering our guests. The Hotel supports various social events, sports for the youth and partners with other organizations to create a better world for the next generation.
We try to source as much as possible locally and recycle everything possible.
A process that takes a lot of effort, but it is worth it. Also, our guests are invited to join us on that journey. We invite our guests to use the various recycling bins in the bedrooms and the hotel. We offer water fountains with sparking and still water on each floor where guests can refill their bottles and carafes. Even housekeeping can be skipped, to use less resources.
